Pumpkin spice green smoothie
INGREDIENTS:
1/2 cup organic pumpkin puree
1-2 cups of organic dark leafy greens (fresh or frozen)
1 tsp pumpkin spice (or use a combo of cinnamon, allspice, nutmeg cloves, ginger)
1/2 cup of unsweetened coconut milk
1 Tbsp Turmeric Maple Pecan Humble Nut Butter I love all three of their flavors)
1 serving vanilla protein powder. I love this Daily Nutritional Support
1 Tbsp flax seed (see note below)
Approximately 6-8 ounces of water to attain desired consistency
Optional: peel of fresh ginger
INSTRUCTIONS:
Place all ingredients in blender and whip to desired consistency.
NOTES:
Use whole flax seed for optimal nutrition and blend at the time you’re making your smoothie. Refrigerate your flax seed after the package is open. I recommend storing in a glass gar like this mason jar.
Want it sweeter? Add a 1/4-1/2 of a banana or a couple drops of monk fruit sweetener.
You can use unsweetened almond milk in place of water.
